Celtin and Emily met in August of 2017 when Celtin became a writing tutor at the same tutoring center where Emily was a public speaking tutor. The couple hit it off right away and a few McDonald's pumpkin pies later, they were the best of friends. Fun Fact: Celtin and Emily worked at the same grocery store on Saturdays for all of 2016 and never crossed paths (knowingly, that is). Everything changed for the couple when in December of 2018 Celtin followed his family to Upstate New York. Despite being 1324 miles apart (Celtin kept track) the couple only became closer. In 2019 Emily continued on with her studies in Springfield while Celtin got a job that moved him from New York to Illinois and finally to Washington D.C.. During this time Celtin and Emily still talked often and visited each other. In 2020 Covid-19 turned the world on its head. At the beginning of the pandemic Celtin and Emily along with several of their close friends facetimed and talked everyday. The hours spent on facetime and on the phone brought the couple closer than ever. In May of 2020 Emily planned a spur of the moment visit and went to D.C. to visit Celtin. While she was there Celtin asked if they could date. She said no. ;) As the summer was slowing down in late August of 2020 after another visit, and another failed attempt at getting Emily to date him, Celtin flew to Springfield, MO for a week-long business trip. While there he asked again if Emily would date him. She agreed! (Celtin never quite made it back to D.C. after that) Finally, on April 17 of 2021 Celtin asked Emily to be his forever at his home in Springfield, Missouri. And they lived Happily Ever After...
