Though Carter and I have only been together for about five years, we have actually known each other for about 16 years. Carter was raised in my family by playing sports with my brother Jake, and we reunited on a very drunk Thanksgiving Eve in 2019. While I was in nursing school we bonded over hiking trips, screaming over football, art nights, trips to the beach and Sedona, tons of game nights, and making drinking games out of any occasion. Four years later and one giant leap of faith landed us here in Wilmington, NC, and we never had a shred of doubt this was our home. New memories and blossoming friendships grew our roots here, and now we get to make another with everyone we love!
