We encourage guests to arrive on either Thursday, 6/27 or Friday, 6/28. There is a welcome party in Lisbon (rooftop of Hotel Mundial) at 7 PM on Friday, 6/28. The wedding takes place on Saturday, 6/29 at 5:30 PM. We intentionally did not plan any events for Sunday. On Sunday, we encourage everyone to take the day to enjoy the country at your own leisure, jet off to your next destination or vacation, take advantage of an open day for travel home, or simply, sleep in!
To the wedding venue: A bus will be outside Hotel Mundial at 3:30 PM on 6/29 to transport all guests to the wedding. DO NOT MISS THIS. If you miss this bus, it could be very challenging to get to the venue on your own and you will likely miss the wedding. The venue is in an remote area, and it's not easy to get in and out of the estate on your own. From the wedding venue: Buses will depart Herdade do Peru and transport guests back to Hotel Mundial at the following times: 11:00 PM, 12:30 AM, 2:30 AM If you'd like to call a car at any other point in time, we suggest the following car services as they are all familiar with Herdade do Peru and know how to get in and out: - Wondervan: +351 963 667 660, welcome@wondervant.pt, https://wondervan.pt - Hugo Amirod: +351 916 808 058, hugo.pires@amiroad.pt - Ana Mulher Armando: +351 933 671 462 - Maia & Figueria Taxis LDA: +351 969 405 514 WhatsApp text is the best way to communicate with each of the above contacts.
The wedding venue is about a 35 (maybe 45 with traffic) minute drive from Lisbon, and we recommend staying in Lisbon. As mentioned, there is transportation provided from Lisbon to the venue, and back from the venue to Lisbon.
While in Lisbon, you will NOT need a car. The city is very walkable, and Ubers are extremely affordable and easy to get. If you plan to travel around the country and leave Lisbon before or after the wedding, a car is recommended. We used Europcar and had a good experience. Make sure to get the toll pass.
The welcome party: Fun and festive, and can lean more casual. The sun will set during the party, so bring a light jacket if needed. Any type of shoes are okay. The wedding: Black tie optional but feel free to have fun with it! For those wearing heels, block heel is preferred since there will be grass and rocky terrain.

Unfortunately, we cannot host any children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding. We recommend this babysitting service: https://babysisters.pt/
Don’t forget your passport! Make sure your passport does not expire prior to SEPTEMBER 2024. It must be valid for at least two months after the date of departure. Make sure you have your passport with you and double check that it is up to date! Kids, even babies, also require a passport. If you don’t have a passport and need to apply for one do it sooner rather than later. Passports can take at least 3 months to arrive and can even take a month just to get an appointment to apply.
