Our dear Pastor Gabe, AKA Cupid, came up to Emily one day and told her that he knew of a gentleman at Christ Fellowship who liked her. It wasn’t too long after that when Emily guessed it was Bryan! Shortly after, Bryan began liking Emily’s stories on Instagram. Once Emily noticed, she started liking his posts back. That game went on for about 2 weeks. (It drove Emily crazy because she just wanted him to text her already.) There was an event happening at their church where all of the campuses would get together. Emily and Bryan both knew they would meet each other in person very soon. On that day, Emily was extremely nervous and giddy to finally see and talk to the guy who had shown interest in her. Emily's friends were also so excited that when they saw Bryan, they had him take photos of their group as an excuse just to chat with him. When Bryan finished taking the photos, he proceeded to introduce himself to the group, INCLUDING Emily. You guessed it... Bryan was so nervous that he pretended he had no idea who Emily was. Later that night, Cupid came back, went to Bryan, and asked him why he was not dancing or talking to Emily. Bryan expressed that he was going to make his way there, but a detour stopped him in his tracks. Bryan then was being a good friend and danced with a friend of his who had asked him for help. Emily, on the other hand, didn’t know the backstory with Bryan saving the night and thought he had no interest in her. (It’s like a movie, we know.) Once the event was over, Emily headed home, and when she arrived, she received a DM from Bryan explaining everything. The rest is pretty much history. They went on their first date on July 15th, 2023, and Bryan asked Emily to be his girlfriend on August 3rd, 2023. Emily and Bryan clicked instantly, and they knew that God had brought them together to serve Him in a future marriage. #Matthew19:6
