FAQs

Question

Will there be a sit down dinner?

Answer

There will be ample food and apps, but no traditional sit down dinner or assigned seating.

Question

Where can I smoke cigarettes?

Answer

Though we will be outside in the courtyard of the venue, cigarettes can only be smoked outside, in the front of the building, 15 feet away from the entrance. But honestly, and not to be a nag, you should probably quit.

Question

Should I get a haircut?

Answer

The mere fact that you're asking that question probably means that you're due for a trim, baby.

Question

Is this going to be a boring wedding?

Answer

We have some fun stuff planned so you'll probably only be bored a little bit ;)

Question

Can I kiss your baby?

Answer

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But you can play with him and dance with him and smile at him and stuff like that.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

There is ample street parking, which you will have to pay for. If you park off of Elston Ave., most of the parking is free.

Question

Why are you doing your wedding at an Irish place? Are you Irish?

Answer

Actually, we are NOT Irish, but we party like we're Irish so we figured this was an appropriate place! HAHAHA! Actually, when planning our wedding, food was one of the most important things to us, and the food here is outstanding!

Question

Where are you registered???!!!

Answer

We are registered at Amazon, you can search for our names and find the registry.

Question

Is there a hotel and/or block of rooms nearby?

Answer

Unfortunately this venue isn't near any hotels. Most of the hotels are in the Loop/downtown, which is where I would recommend finding hotel accommodations. You can also Air B&B (and possibly find something closer to the venue if you want to go that route). Maybe you can make a long weekend of it and do a bunch of fun stuff in the Cit-aaay? Or maybe you can get some friends and get a big ole Air B&B and split the cost? I'm not you, and I'm not trying to tell you what to do, I'm just giving some suggestions!!!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

You're not having high tea with the Queen, but you're not going to Walmart either...Pick an outfit that fits somewhere in between these events, and take into consideration that it's going to be hot out, so don't wear a suit jacket unless you love to sweat! You know, take a shower and look good, don't go nuts, but put in some effort (get a haircut!). Honestly, I trust you to pick out an appropriate outfit. I'm not going to tell you what to wear, I'm not the boss of you!

Question

Can I bring my kid/kids?

Answer

While we didn’t invite everyone’s children specifically, if you need to, or want to bring your little tatertot, let us know. If you have an infant, you can just bring them, if your child is older we will need to account for them (no big deal!).
