What’s the COVID protocol?

Answer

We will not have any specific restrictions or requirements for guests or vendor staff. As such, masks and vaccination are optional. Note that weather permitting the ceremony will be taking place outside. The reception will take place inside, but has an outdoor patio. Note that the outdoor space does not provide audio or ideal visual to the reception events. Very limited outdoor dinner table seating will be provided for more COVID conscious guests on request. Please indicate this on your RSVP. Additionally, for those who prefer to attend only virtually, we will have two scheduled virtual options. One at the ceremony and one at the reception. An RSVP for the virtual specific event is encouraged so that the bride and groom know to sign in and greet guests. We kindly encourage virtual attendance if you are not feeling well.

Outdoor, backyard ceremony? What if it rains?!

Answer

Our first choice is to have an outdoor, backyard ceremony at Brian’s house. Clear Weather Ceremony time and location: 1:00 pm Brian’s House 3262 Middlesax Ave. Long Grove, IL Clear Weather Reception time and location: 5:00 pm cocktail hour followed by dinner reception Kemper Lakes Golf Club 24000 N Old McHenry Road Kildeer, IL 60047 In the event that it appears the weather will not cooperate we will move to our back up plan. This includes a time and location change. Rainy day time and venue: 5:00 pm Ceremony Followed immediately by cocktail hour and dinner reception Kemper Lakes Golf Club 24000 N Old McHenry Rd. Kildeer, IL 60047 Regardless of weather the reception will take place at Kemper Lakes Golf Club.

Question

There’s a gap of time between the ceremony and the reception. What can I do?

Answer

In the event that the weather is beautiful and we can move forward with an outdoor, backyard wedding the ceremony will start a 1:00 pm. The cocktail hour and reception will start at 5:00 pm. Between events please enjoy the town. Our “things to do” tab offers several local suggestions. The bride and groom will be taking photos between events, but are aiming to stop by downtown Long Grove before the cocktail hour and reception.

What’s the parking situation at the outdoor ceremony site?

Answer

Our first choice, weather permitting is an outdoor, backyard wedding at Brian’s home. Parking is readily available in the neighborhood. Please park along the street and walk over to the house.

Time and Location for ceremony is weather dependent. Please check the website for final decision. What is the virtual event option?

Answer

We are not planning to have virtual viewing for the entire event. The bride and groom will greet virtual guests twice during the day (once after the ceremony and once at the reception). Depending on interest we will send guests a link closer to the date.
