The couple first met at an LDC project in Holyoke, MA. Emily asked Brayden to eat lunch with her friends and they chatted for a bit. They discovered they had a mutual friend (Brayden’s roommate at the time). It was quite some time before they ever met again. Finally, at his roommate’s wedding in late January they saw each other again. And thanks to a dinosaur costume and some well-timed Bachata music they realized they each thought the other was pretty cool.
It was a beautiful Friday afternoon and Mariah was up visiting from Chicago. After field service the three of them decided to get outside and enjoy the weather. Mariah had a few lookout points she wanted to see before getting groceries for dinner. After a small hike up Artist’s Bluff in Franconia, NH the three found themselves taking in a beautiful view. As Mariah was taking a picture of Brayden and Emily, Emily could hear Brayden’s heart pounding especially hard. He distracted Emily by pointing to some remarkable view to her left and when she turned around he had a ring out and just one question for her...
