As they were excitedly planning their trip to Hawaii for New Years Eve, Brandon was also excitedly planning a surprise that was as big and vibrant as the fireworks on NYE. Aside from enjoying the relaxing beaches and the company of family, Brandon and Emily were off on their adventures as usual. Emily wanted to climb the beautiful and iconic Diamond Head. Also known as Lēʻahi in Hawaiian, Diamond Head famously hiked for the beautiful views overlooking Waikiki and the rest of the south shore of gorgeous Oahu. They hiked the morning of New Years Eve, as Emily and Brandon wanted to end the year with a beautiful adventure. Throughout the hike, Emily admired all the views of her "second home;" while Brandon enjoyed the view as well, but secretly preparing his next big question he wanted to ask Emily. As they had reached the very top, Brandon had asked one of the tourist nearby to take a picture of them with the lovely view of Waikiki behind them. After a cute photo was taken, he then asked them to record a video of them while they look out towards the view. Brandon shared a few beautiful words with Emily while enjoying the view, he then got on his knee and asked her to marry her. With tears in her eyes... and a little bit of sweat after the hike, she wholeheartedly said "Yes!" They sealed the moment with a loving hug and a round of applause from the surrounding crowd. A beautiful view from the top of Diamond Head, a beautiful diamond ring, and a beautifully explosive night.
