Downtown St Charles
There are plenty of things to do around St. Charles. If the weather is nice you can take a stroll at parks including Potawonami Park or Mount Saint Mary Park. There are also plenty of places to eat. For breakfast, we recommend Brunch Cafe or Arcedium Coffeehouse. For lunch or dinner, we recommend Gia Mia, Nuova Italia Ristorante, Wahlburgers, ZaZa's, Filling Station, Mio Modo, and Just Kabobs.
Downtown Geneva
One of our favorite small downtown areas to walk around. Some restaurants we recommend include The Burger Local, Aurelios Pizza, Ella's Italian Pub, Firewater BBQ, Livia Italian Eatery, Nemec Brother's Pizza, and Villa Varone Ristorante Italiano.
Downtown Chicago
The options are endless for things to do in the city. Some of our favorite things include walking the Riverwalk, Michigan Ave (aka Magnificent Mile), Navy Pier, Millenium Park (the Bean), and the lakefront trail. Popular must-see's also include Art Institute of Chicago, Sky Deck, and Lincoln Park Zoo. If the weather permits, an architectural tour is a must! If you are staying on Sunday, you can see the river dyed green for St. Patrick's Day! Some of our favorite restaurants include Gino's, Giordano's, Italian Village, Rosebud, and Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder (cash only).
Portillo's
A Chicago must. Order a couple Chicago dogs or a beef sandwhich with giardiniera. Don't forget to get a slice of chocolate cake for dessert.
