We recommend flying into Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell—it’s just 15 minutes from the hotel and under 30 minutes from the venue. Renting a car is the best way to explore our beautiful backyard, including Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park. The next closest major airport is Missoula (MSO), which is about a 2.5-hour drive from the venue.
Yes! We have a room block at the Après Hotel in downtown Whitefish. There is a 2-night minimum (Fri-Sun) at $285 per night + tax. Please reference Schell / Murphy wedding when booking for the discount. Book via email hello@apreswhitefish.com or via phone (406) 862-8255. Please head to the "Travel" page for additional accommodation recommendations.
While Ubers are technically available, they can be unreliable—especially near the venue. To make the most of your time here, we highly recommend renting a car. It’s the best way to explore all the beauty that Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park have to offer!
Our official dress code is "Formal", but we wholeheartedly encourage you to add a touch of Western flair! Think boots, bolos, and hats—have fun with it. Please note that all events will be held outdoors on grass, so we recommend skipping tall or narrow heels for comfort and practicality. Need a little inspiration for Western Formal style? All events will be outdoors, please dress accordingly. Summers in Montana vary from hot and dry to cool and rainy.
We’d love to welcome your little ones to the Welcome Party and Sunday Brunch! However, for the ceremony and reception, we’re keeping things intimate and are only including children from our immediate family. Thank you for understanding—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
The average high in early August is around 79°F, but mountain weather can be unpredictable. Be prepared for anything—from sunny and dry to cool and rainy—and consider packing layers to stay comfortable throughout the day.
