Maid of Honor
Allie Grace is the closest thing that I had to a sister growing up. Our parents were great friends before we were even born, so we had no choice but to be raised together. We were double trouble wherever we went and are still the best of friends today! Although we live in different states, we make up lost time during Allie Grace's layovers in Charlotte, and are always looking for a lake day together in Tuscaloosa when we are visiting our parents.
Bridesmaid
Anna Katherine and I knew of each other in high school, but didn't become best friends until freshman year when we both pledged AOII. Anna Katherine and I were in the same friend group, so we did EVERYTHING together. From getting ready for date parties, studying, living together, spring breaks and more! We could always count on AK for a dance or a song to really get the party going. Her infectious spirit draws everyone close and is always a good time.
Bridesmaid
Chelsea and I became friends freshman year during study hall one week. She was from Memphis, so I invited her over to my parents house one night for soup. As the story goes, Chelsea almost didn't come because she hates soup and didn't want to be rude. Oh how we are so glad that you came home with me that night. Chelsea instantly became apart of our family. Chelsea and I had an apartment together sophomore year which became quite the hangout spot. Every other year, we either lived in the same dorm (good ol' Tutwiler) or the AOII house together. WE have shared so many experiences together, but we are currently both in the same stage of wedding planning which is so fun!!
Bridesmaid
I met Emily when I was participating in Sorority Rush at Alabama and she was already friends with my brother. We hit it off the first time we met and became the best of friends. The best day ever was the day that Emily also moved to Charlotte, NC. We were able to continue our Girls' Nights and weekly dinner dates. Emily was the one who pulled off the chaos of me getting my nails done before Blair proposed. She fooled me big and I had no clue leaving the nail salon that the next time I would see her was right after Blair and I got engaged!!!
Bridesmaid
My girl Katie Tait (sorry Wayne, her name will never change in my book). A last minute roommate decision turned best friend. Katie and I were roommates in the AOII house our junior year and it was the best year ever! There was endless entertainment and memories created when all of our friends lived in the AOII house that year. Katie is the friend you can count on for anything and always has your back.
Bridesmaid
Lauren is my pledge sister turned Sister-in-Law! Lauren and I really became friends second semester of freshman year and the rest was history. From date parties and spring breaks, to living in the AOII house together two years, we were together through it all. Lauren married my brother, Bryan, after college and it has been so much fun having her as a permanent member of our family! Holidays and visits home are so much more fun when your friend is your sister. This year she also gave me the greatest gift of being called "aunt" to the most precious baby boy!!
Bridesmaid
Mary and I met when I transferred to ACA, but didn't become friends until the next year. We were always down for an adventure and there is nothing we love more than driving around and talking. Some of my favorite nights are from driving around at Christmas looking at all the houses decorated for Christmas. I didn't know what I was going to do when Mary moved to Denver, but not a thing has changed and we haven't missed a beat!!
Bridesmaid
Olivia is a childhood friend from church who became apart of the family very quickly. We were constantly at each other's house and in the summer you could always catch us on the boat fighting over the brown pita chips in Chex Mix. We went on family vacations together, all the youth trips, and still make great travel buddies to this day. Olivia is the messy to my OCD and the chaos to my organization. We are about as polar opposite as it gets, but just like the saying goes, "opposites attract." Even though we sometimes go long times without seeing each other, when we are back together, it's like a second hasn't gone by!
Bridesmaid
Savannah became my best friend at ACA after we were paired together for a group project. As everyone knows, groups projects are never done as a group, but just one (or two) people carrying the load of everyone else. As annoyed as we were with the late nights of this project, it created a beautiful friendship that has lasted over 10 years. Savannah's house was where you could always find us hanging out and creating memories. Hanging out with Savannah are some of my favorite moments of going home. A "quick visit" is never quick and we can solve most of the world's problems by the end of our time together!
