This spot is a little out of the way for most things, haha but it’s where Ben used to work and where I’ve been working since moving down here. It’s a really sweet place, and if you want a little peek into my everyday life here, this is a great start. My go-to drink is the Salty Surfer, so definitely give it a try! Depending on where you’re staying it could be on your way into Dublin, and be a quick detour on your way in or out of town. And if you’re ever in the mood for a scenic drive, it’s surrounded by some of the prettiest back roads.
This is our quick, go-to coffee spot! We’ve shared so many delicious cups here with friends, family, and let’s be real, mostly with Gigi haha. It’s just a 10-minute drive from the Farm, so if you’re looking for a pick-me-up on your way in, this place is perfect. It’s definitely well-loved, though, so give yourself a little extra time for parking and the line! I’m always a fan of the seasonal menu, but when in doubt, the salted honey latte never misses.
German Village is truly one of our favorite spots! It’s super walkable, full of brick streets and charming old homes. Definitely check out Stauf’s Coffee, and take time to walk around The Book Loft. It’s basically a multi-story maze of books you could get lost in for hours and spend all your money in. German village is such a fun area to explore, if you’re especially in the mood to wander there’s a sweet little park called Schiller Park that's not too far from those spots to get your steps in.
Bridge Park has a nice mix of things to do all in one place. Some of our stops when we're in bridge park are grabbing a coffee at Rebowl, Fukuryu Ramen and I personally love Jeni’s Ice Cream, the "double dough" flavor is INSANE. If you want to get outside for a bit, Indian Run Falls is just a quick drive away and is super pretty. All in all bridge park is a good spot for food, a short walk, and fresh air. There's also a beautiful library nearby if you want to kill some time :)
Westerville in general is just a sweet place to be! It’s home to Otterbein University, so Ben and I often find ourselves walking around the campus and nearby neighborhood because it's adorable. On summer Saturdays you’ll usually find a farmers market uptown, and there are plenty of great spots to eat and grab a coffee. While Espresso Air is popular, Ben and I typically stop at Java Central. We also recently started liking North Star cafe which has super yummy food for all times of day.
If you’re looking for something fun to do in the city, North Market is a solid stop! It’s a big indoor food hall with tons of options: coffee, bites to eat, little shops, all the good stuff. It’s great if you’re getting into town early or just want to explore a bit.
Alum Creek is home to so many awesome memories for us! If you’re looking to explore the area, take a walk on the trails, hang by the water, or just relax for a bit. It’s an easygoing spot to enjoy the outdoors and unwind.
If you’re one of the families bringing kiddos along, this is a great spot for them: mini golf, gold panning, a petting zoo you can easily spend a few hours here. I haven’t been personally, but I’ve heard great things and it seems like a fun way to make the most of some free time :)
