An absolute MUST when in the Red. Dog friendly outside seating, BYOB, and the best pizza around. You can order by the slice or get a whole pizza, and choose your creation. Our go-to is green peppers, pineapple, banana pepper, and ricotta. Yep.
Another favorite in the Red. A good drink selection (including local beer and bourbon), bar food, and sometimes live music!
Get the Heavenly Burger. It is literally the best burger I have ever had, and I don't even like burgers (says Emily). The Rockhouse has incredible, locally sourced food, with big portions that are perfect after a long day of climbing or hiking. They also have a good vegetarian selection!
Amazing climbing area, but you probably already knew that.
A very fun out and back trail, with scenic overlooks along the way. ~4.5 miles.
The ever famous Natural Bridge! A very short, but slightly uphill hike to the arch, you can even walk on top! 1.2 miles out and back, easy.
There are so many hikes in the Red. Other than the ones previously listed, here are our favorites: Whittleton Arch ~2.5 Indian Staircase ~3 miles Gray's Arch ~3.5 miles Double Arch Trail ~4.3 miles Swift Camp Creek ~10 miles
If you are passing through Lexington, you may want to consider stopping by one of the multiple bourbon distilleries. Lexington is home to Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, and Buffalo Trace.
