Emily and Austin met online in late 2018. Austin, at the time, lived in Kansas. Emily lived in Missouri. Emily, unlike herself, messaged Austin first. Which came to a surprise to Austin. They soon began talking here and there, and then one day it became constant and they never stopped talking. A few weeks later, Austin had the opportunity to travel back home to the St. Louis area. He took his opportunity, and asked Emily to go out on a date with him. As their first date was set for December 11, 2018. Austin began his drive in the late afternoon, headed straight to pick Emily up and go out. A few hours later, Austin arrived at Emily’s house to pick her up. She had been ready for hours, but again unlike herself, she was actually nervous about a first date. She let him know that she was “putting on her shoes” but really she was just getting the last minute nerves and butterflies aside. They then headed to dinner, enjoyed a meal together at a local restaurant. They talked for hours before Austin dropped her off at home. They both knew that night what they had found. Before Austin even headed down the street, he texted her letting her know he is absolutely taking her on a second date before he heads back to Kansas in a few days. A few months of dating goes by before Austin comes home for a weekend in February 2019. That weekend, Austin took Emily out on another date, and afterwards, officially asked her to be his girlfriend. This whole time, they had been long distance, and were set to continue to be long distance. However, the distance was tough, they deeply missed each other when they were apart. Then in April 2019, Emily moved to Kansas to live with Austin. Since then, they were able to enjoy all aspects of life together and enjoy their favorite activities together. In September 2020 they traveled down to the beach. Where they were having pictures taken together, Austin then popped the question, which came as a surprise to Emily. But she happily accepted his proposal!
