We met Emily's first day at Drexel when Ari was helping his roommate's girlfriend move into Emily's apartment. Ari was very hungover from a music festival and Emily was in the mood you'd expect anyone to be in while moving (...can you say RBF?!). To say the least, it was not love at first sight. Since our roommates were dating, we often spent time together but sparks did not fly until much later on. On one occasion, Ari even told Emily that the brownies she baked at his house sucked (....if you know Emily, she did not take this lightly). Over time, Emily forgave him for hating her brownies and we slowly built a friendship, frequently seeing and secretly admiring each other at the gym. On Emily's 21st birthday, we went out together with a bunch of friends to celebrate. One thing led to another and our love story began...withhhhh a first date to Bobby's Burger Palace (it was VERY romantic!!!). Flash-forward 7 years later and we're back to living in Philly, parents to our beautiful dog Luna, and GETTING MARRIED!

We had put off our engagement for a long time while Emily was focusing on her health. After dating for over 6 years, we were both extremely excited when we were finally ready to take the next step in both our relationship and our lives together. In August, we were on vacation in Bermuda. Ari made Emily wait until 4th night of vacation before finally popping the question, but it was definitely worth the wait! Ari took Emily to a private beach at sunset where he had a beautiful picnic set up complete with candles, a professional photographer, tiki torches, red roses, and our favorite wine. All that was missing was Chris Harrison. Ari got down on one knee and Emily immediately said yes!
