Due to COVID-19 we have postponed our wedding reception to 07-31-2021. We will be married on 08-01-2020 in the presence of our immediate family.

Emily and Tony met while working a summer job at an arcade in Duluth in 2013, at a time when Emily wore buckets of eyeliner and Tony’s beard was still in the process of thickening. On the night of July 4th, after closing up shop, they walked toward the lake to watch the fireworks together and stayed up to the early morning walking around Canal Park. A short two weeks later (a time frame that gets exaggerated in some re-tellings), Tony mustered up the courage to ask Emily out for their first official date. They went to a movie and then to the Duluth Aquarium. The intoxicating aroma of freshwater fish overwhelmed Emily's senses. It was here that she realized she was in love with Tony. On their second official date, while they were kayaking, Tony realized he was in love with Emily. Tony knew he had met the one, and was ready to propose. Unfortunately, it is federal law in the United States that you cannot legally ask a person to marry you unless you have dated for at least six years. Once that time limit had expired, he put his plan into motion. He wanted the proposal to remain a complete surprise to Emily, so he said to Emily, "Hey, we should go to some jewelry shops and antique stores to look for your engagement ring." She had no idea what was coming. They went to an antique shop in Stillwater where Emily picked the very first ring she tried on. Not wanting to rush things, Tony held on to the ring for a few more months. During a family trip to Austin Texas, Tony and Emily stole away to San Antonio for a day. They spent some time on the River Walk and then went to a Japanese tea garden. It was here that Tony decided to gather all of his courage and ask Emily the big question.
