Emily and Anjul met through a mutual friend on a winter trip to Tahoe in 2020. What started as a simple introduction quickly grew into a friendship, filled with laughter, shared adventures, and another memorable Tahoe trip in the summer of 2021. When Emily moved to Sacramento from the Bay Area, Anjul found any excuse to visit, and Emily would make her way down to San Francisco just to spend time together. Over the years, friendship turned into something deeper, and their bond only grew stronger. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate their love with all the people who have been part of their journey.

Emily and Anjul went to Filoli Gardens on what Emily thought was a work trip (though she definitely suspected something). They had recently picked up drawing together, so Anjul asked if she wanted to sit down and sketch with him. They pulled up a drawing video… and it “suddenly” stopped, telling Emily to look over at him, where he had drawn a simple picture of himself proposing to her. She looked over, perplexed, and that’s when he got down on one knee and proposed. It was late morning, a little busy, and not perfectly quiet, but it was very them. She said yes almost immediately, with the biggest smile.
