FAQs

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

No! In lieu of gifts, please consider donating to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter. This is where Emily and Alex adopted four out of their five cats and would visit weekly while living in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. https://www.chippewacountymi.gov/animalshelter

Question

Is the reception kid friendly?

Answer

Yes! We want to celebrate with all of our loved ones, including the young ones! We can't wait to see everyone, including the kids.

Question

Will we see a marriage ceremony at the reception?

Answer

No! Alex and Emily decided to elope on their anniversary in August (one less date to remember!). Since they will already be married, they are ready to celebrate with YOU and that is what the reception will be all about! We appreciate you respecting their decision on how Alex and Emily decided to get married.

Question

Will your cats be at the reception?

Answer

No! We want the focus to stay on Alex and Emily, and we all know Kent would just steal the show with his charm and good looks.

Question

If we don't stay at Hidden Pond, do we have to take the shuttle?

Answer

Yes! Hidden Pond does not allow parking for wedding guests, only for hotel guests. If you decide to stay at a hotel that is not Hidden Pond, your only way to get to the reception is via shuttle. The shuttle will be running back and forth all night, so I promise, you will not be trapped! Uber and Lyft are not reliable in the area, so the shuttle will be the easiest way to get to and from the reception. If you decide to find your own accommodations or rent a car for the weekend, shuttle pickup will also be available at the municipal lot located at 30 North St in Kennebunkport.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Think fall meets semi-formal- sweater dresses and wool sports coats. I have made a Pinterest board for inspiration if you need guidance! https://pin.it/1iOF6t3Rr Dinner will be in a tent on the grass so appropriate footwear is recommended as well as layers for the New England fall.
