Alex & Emily met while he taught her softball intramural team that she joined on a whim. He asked her out a few months later & they clicked really well. After a couple of dates, they decided to date exclusively.

Emily's sister, Elizabeth, asked her to take photos of Elizabeth & her husband for their 3rd anniversary. Elizabeth suggested she take some pictures of Emily and Alex just to try out Emily's camera. Emily found some parks and they went hunting for some photoshoot locations on March 17th. Alex found a great spot at Bluff Creek Park. On Wednesday, Emily, Alex, Dakota (Emily's brother-in-law), Elizabeth, and Tommy (Emily's brother) all met at Martin Nature Park for photos. Later they went to Bluff Creek Park, where Emily and Alex took a walk and he later proposed at the spot he found a few days earlier. After Emily said yes, they went back to her home where Alex and her family had put together a surprise celebration for the two of them!
