Welcome to our wedding website

We are tying the knot!

How they met

Meant to find each other

We met through a mutual friend in mid-2017 (we went to the same church but different campuses so we never ran into each other before). Emily was looking for a new job and her disciple group leader gave her the name and phone number of Adam, who was a medical recruiter in the area. She was recently separated and was not looking to date yet, but took his number and called him the next week to see if he had any job openings. They spoke on the phone and had a great conversation, but ultimately, she was not looking to get into the jobs that he had available. They decided to keep in touch and he would let her know if anything came up where she might be a good fit. The next week, after looking him up on Facebook, Emily decided to ask him if he wanted to meet at her favorite bar to watch some college football. She thought he was cute in his pictures and thought if anything, she could make a new friend. They hit it off immediately due to their love for football and decided to hang out for the rest of the day. Soon after that, they decided to give dating a try, as they were both interested in each other. They dated for about 3 months before deciding to break up. Being recently single, Emily was not emotionally ready to be in a serious relationship and it was apparent to both of them. They kept in contact and stayed friends, meeting up from time to time to go do things. Around May of 2018, Emily invited Adam to go to the annual Shrimp Festival in Amelia Island. They had a great time and she realized she really missed his company but didn’t say anything. Fast-forward to August and they decided to give dating another try. By this point, she was in a much better place emotionally and she knew that she wanted him in her life as a partner. In October they went to Orlando and had an amazing weekend going to theme parks, riding the ICON ferris wheel, and dining/listening to live music. That was the moment they both knew that they were meant to be together.

The proposal

On top of the world!

Adam proposed to Emily on February 7th, 2020 in Orlando. He told her to pack a small carry on bag the week leading up to that weekend and would not tell her where we were going. He said bring something for cold weather, warm weather, walking, dinner, etc for a weekend. She was a little frustrated because she didn’t know how she would fit all of that into a carry on! The day of the trip, she wanted to make sure they were actually going on a flight, because he said maybe, maybe not the whole week and she needed to try to fit everything into a small bag. So Emily got off work that Friday and as soon as the pet sitter gets there, they get in the truck and head out on the highway. She noticed they were going south instead of north where the airport is and questioned him. He said they were not flying out of the Jacksonville airport, but a different airport. About an hour and a half on the highway and Emily losing her mind trying to figure out where they were going, he said they might miss their flight because he forgot to turn where the airport was...at this point Emily was freaking out and on the verge of tears. Just when she was about to lose it, she saw the Orlando ICON Ferris wheel lit up ahead. She then figured out that they were not actually flying anywhere and that they were spending the weekend in Orlando. After they checked into their room on the 16th floor, they headed to the ICON, just like they did over a year ago. As they were sipping drinks, they approached the top to overlook all of the city. Adam put her drink down and told her that this was the trip almost a year and a half ago that he first fell in love with her and that one of his favorite pictures is of her on the ICON that trip. Adam proceeded to get down on one knee and propose. After that they went out to celebrate and the next morning he took her to the theme park, just like he did on the prior trip and they enjoyed the day as an engaged couple.
