Aaron and Emily met in September 2018 when they both were a part of a jazz group called Freeform. Aaron was the drummer and Emily was one of the singers. The two started dating October 2018.

Aaron surprised Emily with a Christmas themed engagement in her favorite place, Leavenworth Washington! He proposed in front of the beautiful Christmas lights in the main park area by the gazebo.
