FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We’ve booked a couple babysitters to make that a reality.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire: cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets and slacks or Formal Garden Attire: sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats and fascinators. Lion Rock is a tented farm estate with grassy areas, so you may want to rethink the stilettos! Also, since it’s not quite summer yet you may want to think about a light sweater or shawl for the evening.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

At least 15 to 20 minutes prior. The property is quite large, but we’ll have summer refreshments waiting for you.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! There are lots of local Inns, bed and breakfasts and Airbnbs in the area. We have listed some in the travel and lodging section.

Question

Can I take an Uber or Lyft?

Answer

Sharon, and Litchfield County is very rural. We suggest reserving an Uber or Lyft prior to the date & time that you will need it to ensure that one is available.
