Wedding Party

Ana Karen

Maid of Honor

Ana Karen and I grew up together and have been friends since elementary school. We were roommates at Western where our friendship was solidified over cafeteria food and late night secrets. We have navigated all of life’s big and little moments together and this one is no different.

Matt

Man of Honor

Matt and I have been friends since a competitive game of recess wall ball. I don’t think he knew it then, but our hikes throughout high school gave me space to breathe and grow into the person I am today. Getting to be the best woman at his wedding was such a privilege- it’s only fitting that he’s now my man of honor.

Kelly

Bridesmaid

Kelly’s parents and mine were friends before we were born. My childhood is filled with memories of her- playing outside, school dances, studying for AP tests, XC meets and leadership camp. I don’t remember not knowing her and cannot be more grateful to have her next to me.

Caitlin

Bridesmaid

Caitlin and I met during our first year of teaching in Detroit. I have never met anyone who could resolve a conflict, teach a lab and eat lunch all at the same time. I am constantly wow-ed by who she is and am so grateful to have her as my friend and bridesmaid.

Kellyn

Bridesmaid and Officiant

Kellyn and I met working summers at the state park where we grew up. Between our love of nature, family and Harry Potter, we were fast friends. She’s been a constant voice of reason and gentle support- we are thankful it will be her words of wisdom officiating our big day!

Karim Isa

Best Man

Karim and I have been friends since our freshman year at the University of Florida. We were involved in a lot of the same clubs and activities through college and pretty much been stuck with each other since. We have been there for each other through all of the special moments (good and bad). One of my nicknames for Karim is "the Hardest Working Dad" because he is a fierce provider for his family. I was Karim's best man too so this is almost a full circle moment and I am glad for this go into this special moment with him!

Shane Taylor

Groomsman

Shane and I have an interesting story because we originally met through a mutual friend and somehow hit it off. I think our friendship was solidified when Shane visited me while I was living in Miami followed by just about an annual visit each year. Fun fact: Shane was my first friend to meet Emily in person. Now when he isn't at his work job, Shane is working on home job as a new dad (Myles is a luck one)!

Jennifer Rosenberg

Groomswoman

What can I say about Jennifer? Many many things. We met my freshman year of college and it was her senior year and somehow our friendship continued to thrive. Jennifer has been a constant loyal friend who has continued to be invested in wanting the best for me. I think she owes me for the 5-year plan (trade secret) I put her on a long time ago. You're welcome! Jennifer is one of those supermoms we hear about and she is raising amazing human beings.

Shannonlee Rodriguez

Groomswoman

Shannonlee and I met during my first professional job at Florida International University in Miami, FL. I won't embarrass her and just say we were not friends at first. Shannonlee quickly turned into one of my closest friends during my time in Miami and continues to be one of the most reliable and loyal friends that I have. Too many random Miami stories to share!

Tabatha Thorne

Groomswoman

Tabatha Ashley Thorne... another one of my closest friends I made during my time at the University of Florida. Tabatha is the one who got me started on my gym journey (RIP 24 Hour Fitness in Kendall) before she moved away to Chicago. When she isn't mothering or working, Tabatha loves calling me out on my BS (and it is reciprocated). She is another friend I am grateful for and impressed by how she is protective of her family.
