Great place to walk and take in some more city views. You can see the iconic fountain up close and see the meeting of the three rivers! The Fort Pitt Museum is located at the front of the park, which is a great place to learn about the history of the city/region. The park is at the "point" of the downtown area, so if you're heading to the city, this is worth a stop!
Check out Pitt and CMU's campuses (including the stunning Cathedral of Learning at Pitt). You can also visit the amazing Carnegie museums of Art and Natural History, as well as the beautiful Carnegie library main branch. If you're hungry, check out The Porch restaurant in the heart of Oakland.
Great walkable city neighborhood with lots of local restaurants, shops, and bars. We recommend Bierport- a super unique, global beer store where you can also make your own six packs or enjoy drinks in the basement taproom. Church Brew Works is a brewery/restaurant inside of an old church- definitely worth checking out. There's Condado for tacos, Pusadee's Garden for Thai, and Walter's for BBQ - really, there's something for everyone here!
While this recommendation is about 90 minutes outside of Pittsburgh, it's absolutely worth it to see the stunning UNESCO World Heritage site. It's a great day trip or maybe a pit stop on your way in/out of town. Learn about the history of the region and the architecture of the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright home. There are scenic hiking trails and outlooks in the park. A favorite day-trip of the bride and groom!
