Our Story
Michael and Emily met on Tinder, but that wasn't their first match. They initially connected in July 2023 but decided not to continue talking because Michael was still in the army. A year later, they matched on Tinder again and decided to meet up the same day. They began dating on June 30, 2024. After just two months of dating, they got a dog named Milo. When they got engaged on their one-year dating anniversary, Michael took Emily out to her favorite Japanese restaurant. He also took her to Walmart to look for Pokémon cards—something they started collecting together after moving in on February 10, 2025—but unfortunately, they didn't find any. However, Emily did discover an axolotl squishmallow. After driving around for a while, they headed home but stopped to pick up a bottle of wine first. Michael proposed to Emily on June 30, 2025, with a pathway of rose petals, candles, and a "Marry Me" sign on the back deck.
