H Wines
Two French-men; Steve, a 32-years-experienced winemaker from Burgundy, and Philippe, who comes from a family of wine merchants, established H-Wines Winery in 2017 in Coldspring, Texas. Two years later they opened a tasting room in Montgomery, TX. The charming tasting room with outdoor patio is located in a historic bank building in old downtown Montgomery. The bank carries a rich history and you can actually find reamining bullet holes in the wall from a robbery in 1906. The winery is located in Coldspring and can be visited by appointment. What began in France now continues in Texas. Steve is putting into practice his Burgundy-style winemaking methods, only now, he's using Texas grapes. Texas and France. . .the perfect pairing.
Whitley Vineyards
Philip and Gina Whitley moved to the small historic town of Montgomery, Texas, 30 years ago; where they raised four children and now have ten grandchildren. With a deep love for each other and sharing a lifetime of memories, they enjoy spending time with their family, traveling, and having a glass of wine together when relaxing at the end of the day. While completing her degree at Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston, where she specialized in wine and spirits management, Gina decided to combine her passion for wine and her experience in quality management and production to venture into the wonderful wine industry. This journey began with a vision of a 1/3 acre vineyard in her backyard. Gina was asked, “How are you going to market this?” She said “I don’t know yet, but I’m going to make it happen.” Quite often at sunset, Gina would stroll through her 1/3 acre plot with a glass of red wine in hand and imagine the dream that she knew one day would come.
The Woodlands Waterway
