Groom
Erick also has 9 groomsmen, and wrote a few sentences about each of these great friends below!
Maid of Honor
Emma is my oldest and best friend. We met in pre-school at Mount Paran Church, and have been mostly inseparable ever since. We were even roommates for the first few years we lived in chattanooga. I often tell her that she is the best person I know, and I pretty much mean that. Emma is extremely selfless, kind and empathetic. I couldn't imagine anyone else as my Maid of Honor!
Best Man
I've known James for a very long time. We met in middle school, and have remained friends to this day. James has a great sense of humor, and is a genuine person and friend. His unique perspective and wisdom have always helped me in life. It's an honor for him to be my best man on this special day.
Bridesmaid
Abigail and I also met at church sometime during preschool. We've been friends for our entire lives, and planning each other's future weddings for almost as long. Abigail is the kind of friend you want to be there for you both in the parties of life, and in the harder moments. She's articulate, big-hearted and witty, I know she'll make the most of this day!
Groomsman
Blake is Emily's older brother, and has become a friend over the years. He is extremely passionate, intelligent and hard working. Because family is important to both Emily and I, it is extremely meaningful to us to include them in our wedding day as much as possible. I'm so thankful Blake agreed to be a groomsman for this special day!
Bridesmaid
Madison came into my life when we were four years old and she joined my family as my cousin. I don't have any sisters, so my cousins have definitely filled that role for me. Madison is passionate, loving and strong. I have such a close family, I couldn't leave them out of this wedding.
Groomsman
Luke is Emily's younger brother. Luke is thoughtful, cool and kind. Luke is not quick to judge people, and willing to be friends with anyone. He made me feel welcome when I first met Emily's family, I always knew he would be someone I could talk to at gatherings. Thanks Luke!
Bridesmaid
Ellen joined my family when I was about 10, as another cousin! Growing up, I loved having even more cousins to play with at family gatherings, and I'm glad we're still friends as adults. Ellen is patient, sweet and tenderhearted.
Groomsman
Max is my cousin, but more like the little brother I never had. We only met for the first time a few years ago, but it feels like I've known him all my life. He was there for me during a difficult time in my life, when I had to finish my thesis, and motivated me to keep going with his humor. He has a good heart and is selfless.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I went to the same church growing up, but we didn't really become close friends until high school. After we both attended a friend's birthday party, and spent the whole evening laughing and talking, we're been best friends ever since. Rachel and I once roomed together for a whole summer and didn't fight once! She's fierce, loyal and the life of the party.
Groomsman
Chris and I met in Berry College. Chris is truly a guys guy and the life of any party. He's always smiling and has a great attitude, even when things are tough. He is a hard worker and is willing to persevere no matter what others think. Thanks, Chris, for being a part of this moment!
Bridesmaid
Kiersten and I were randomly assigned to the same floor during our sophomore year working for Res Life at Lee University. After spending the whole day working, we bonded over watching proposal videos and eating Waffle House. She is optimistic, generous and loving, I'm so glad the universe brought us together!
Groomsman
I met Giancarlo playing soccer at Berry College, and we ended up in the same department and taking classes together. Giancarlo is easygoing and shares my passion for soccer.
Bridesmaid
Mary was my RA for two years in a row while working for Res Life in Atkins Ellis Hall. We spent many weekends on random outdoor adventures in college. Mary is extremely empathetic, wise and insightful, and I'm thankful she's a forever friend.
Groomsman
Robert and I met in high school. I honestly don't remember how we became friends, we just started hanging out a lot and eventually became really good friends. Robert is very smart, and I can always count on him to be there. Robert is a good time, and one of those people that is genuine and real all the time. He's a solid friend, and a great groomsman.
Bridesmaid
Ally and I were both Resident Chaplain's together at Lee, and we quickly became "Chaplain Pals". Even though we're not RCs anymore, we still spend many weekends hiking together, or just hanging out. Ally is strong, passionate and tender, I'm so glad she'll be a part of this day.
Groomsman
Franklin was my next-door neighbor my freshman year of college. We met after we both had issues connected to the wifi, and ended up hanging out together for hours. We would go to the gym together often during college and became great friends. Franklin has an old soul and is a genuinely nice person, he is always even-keeled and is a happy-go-lucky kind of person.
Bridesmaid
Hannah and I lived on the same hall my sophomore year of college. We had mutual friends who wanted to live with both of us, so we agreed to become roommates, even though we didn't know each other very well. Within a few days, we were close friends, and lived together for the rest of my time in college. Hannah is funny, pure and calm.
Groomsman
Joey and I met my freshman year of college. He was part of the group of friends I spent a lot of time with during that first year. We took a lot of classes together since we had the same major, and we ended up living in the same townhouse later in college. He is focused, he can be both outgoing and reserved at the same time, and he is a great friend.
Ring Bearer
Berrit is Emily's cousin, and a very special part of this day! When asked to be the ring bearer, he told his mom, "It's a really important job, Mom. One of the most importantly jobs." Thank you, Beritt!
"Flower Granny"
Emily's maternal grandmother, who is serving a very special role in the wedding.
"Flower Granny"
Emily's paternal grandmother, who is serving a very special role on this day!
