Zilker Metropolitan Park
An Austin favorite! Great place to have a picnic, go kayaking or paddleboarding (look up The Rowing Dock), find the playground, or go for a long walk!
The Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake
Perfect for an leisurely walk with great lake views.
Mount Bonnell
Stop here at sunset for a nice view of Austin! (Don't worry, it's a pretty short hike, only 102 steps.) You can actually check out Mayfield Park right close by, which is always fun to check out the peacocks that roam freely around the park.
South Congress
A busy, vibrant street full of tourists and locals alike! Find local boutiques, restaurants (I recommend hopdoddy or homeslice!), and live music here! Parking can be difficult but there is a garage behind Perla's (address linked above.)
Texas Capitol
Austin is the proud home of the Texas State Capitol. You can tour the capitol, but we prefer to walk by it at night :)
The Domain Northside
One of the newer additions to Austin that has hip restaurants, shopping, and bars/clubbing at night (when you don't want to struggle to find parking). I love the slower pace of this area, it's great to just take your time and walk around. You can also check out the other part of the original "The Domain" that also features shopping and dining, which is a few minutes away at 11410 Century Oaks Terrace.
Thinkery
This is a children's museum-Great place to take the kiddos! Honestly, we wish we were kids so we could have fun at the Thinkery ourselves!
Pedernales Falls State Park
A good place to hike! Also, Barton Creek Greenbelt is another great place to hike!
Sixth Street/Rainey Street bars
For our 21+ guests, check out Austin's exciting nightlife. 6th street's bars and clubs have a reputation that precedes itself (they don't call it "Dirty Sixth" for nothing!), and Rainey street offers bars with more relaxed hipster vibes!
Jester King Brewery
[Close to venue] For 21+ guests- We haven't been here personally, but we hear it's a great place to chill and try new beers!
Deep Eddy Vodka Tasting Room
[Close to venue] For 21+ guests- We also haven't personally been here, but it's pretty cool you can do a tasting tour and check out where they make Deep Eddy Vodka!
