Maid of Honor
My sweet middle sissy. There are no words to describe what a mess my life would be without her. She is my favorite person to talk about boys with and sing at the top of our lungs in the car with. Bailey is simultaneously my built-in best friend and the person that annoys me the most. She gives me grace when I mess up, encourages me when I’m down, and celebrates with me in all my successes. I could not imagine marrying Colten without Sister by my side.
Best Man
My best friend and the person who brought me into our group of friends. We met at OC, during sophomore year, and bonded over World of Warcraft. He has remained a steadfast friend and someone I can always count on to be there for advice and fellowship.
Maid of Honor
My sassy, spunky baby sister. Literally not a single person has taught me more about having confidence in who Christ made us to be and using that confidence to bring glory to Him than she has. She drives me crazy and sometimes she talks too much, but she has more passion and drive behind every word that comes out of her mouth than most people do in one finger. I’m so thankful that Jesus gave me the opportunity to be a big sister, not once, but twice. Our wedding day wouldn’t be right without Rylie!
Best Man
The best roommate a guy could ask for. We met through our mutual friend Avery. The first several times we a "hung out" was while playing video games. The first time we actually met in person was at Avery's engagement party. The fifth time we "hung out" was when he was moving into my house to be my roommate. I can always count on him to be there when I need a laugh, someone to hang out with, or to put some seriously deep thought into something.
Bridesmaid
My long-time best friend. I met Hayley when I was just starting high school and she was going into her junior year of high school at a Worship Arts camp. We got to know each other a little bit and as we went back to that camp together each year and got to know each other better, we became friends. It wasn’t until we were both college mentors at that camp that we bonded over worshipping our Savior and Taylor the Latte Boy and became best friends. Hayley was the first person to know when I liked Colten and we even drafted messages together to send to him. Hayley is one of those friends that you just know she’s here for life. She has a heart that takes care of and loves the people around her. I am beyond excited for her to be my bridesmaid!
Groomsman
The middle brother of the family. He is someone I have always looked up to him for his work ethic, independent nature, boldness, and general mechanical knowledge. He's always the first to volunteer help when I need it. I'm so glad I'll have him with me on the stage.
Bridesmaid
My college best friend. Abigail and I became friends during our sophomore year of college. Honestly, we didn’t really like each other, but we were partners for a class project, got to know each other, and well, we have been best friends ever since. From ice cream dates to having almost all the same classes to getting a job together to spontaneous hair cuts, we have done everything together. Colten moved up our engagement or we would have even been getting engaged the same weekend! Now we are getting married a week apart and having a friend to talk about wedding plans and ideas with is the best thing ever! Abigail is the type of friend who will defend you to the very end, will love you even when you do dumb things, and will always take care of the people she cares about.
Groomsman
The oldest brother and the other nerdy one in the family. He is the only person I can always talk about Star Wars with. Shelton provided great encouragement while I was in college and was tired of it. He make anyone laugh; which I will be needing as the stress builds up as our big day grows closer.
Bridesmaid
My precious college roomie. Josie and I met freshman year at OBU during band camp. We instantly bonded over the oboe, color guard, and her purple hair and my pink hair. We lived right next door to each other and eventually I moved into her room. We have lived together ever since. Josie and I started the OBU color guard and were the captains together, we joined the climbing club together, played oboe together, sang together in bisonettes, and we even sprained our ankles together at one point. Josie has been a constant in my life from the beginning of my time on Bison Hill. She encourages, loves, and prays for people, and she allows the Lord to use her in ways that only He can. I’m so thankful for this forever friend!
Groomsman
My partner in crime throughout college. We became good friends when we embarked on the struggle bus that was Physics lab together. Throughout the rest of our college career we leaned on each other to get through most challenging tedious parts of our studies. I'm so glad I will once again have his stalwart support on one of most important days of my life.
Bridesmaid
My college roomie and friend. When I moved into Josie’s dorm room freshman year, Micah was her other roommate. So when Josie got me, Micah got me too. Micah played oboe with us and sang in bisonettes with us too. We called ourselves the “Hautbois of OBU” because Hautboi is French for Oboe. Since living with Micah for almost four years, I’ve had someone in my life who the Lord used to speak so much life into me and to pray for me. In our friend group, Micah is known as the Mom-Friend. Sometimes we use this nickname when she wears mom jeans or when she makes us dinner or other “mom thing,” but when you get down to the root of it, Micah is our Mom-Friend because she is kind, caring, compassionate, and gives the best advice. I’m so thankful to have her stand next to me!
Groomsman
My fellow tech enthusiast and the comedian of the group. We were in the same classes for pretty much all 4 years of college, but it wasn't until after college that we became really good friends. We bonded over our love for technology and board games. Austin might be the funniest person I know; even though most of his jokes are complete nonsense. If anyone is going to make a joke during the wedding, it's going to be Austin.
Bridesmaid
My kindest college roomie and coolest pal. I met Alix when we were both freshman band students at OBU. After her freshman roommate left OBU, she joined Josie, Micah, and I sophomore and has been with us ever since. Alix is the most encouraging and inclusive person that I have ever met in my life. As a future special educator who prays for the inclusion of all people, I thank Jesus for people like Alix who love all people, whether they are are the same or different than us. Alix is one of the best people I know and I could not imagine my college career without her sweet spirit and smile that brightens up any room. I’m thankful for her constant encouragement in my life and I’m so thankful that she is my bridesmaid!
Groomsman
The kind-hearted problem-solver. Four years of college together and it wasn't until we were both struggling with senior projects that we really became friends. We were both trying to lead engineering teams on projects doomed for failure. Since then we have grown closer though board games and dungeons and dragons. Jake is a servant at heart and always full of great advice - I'm glad I'll have him up there with me.
