FAQs

Our wedding celebration is continuing as planned! We hope to have as many of our friends and family in attendance as are comfortable, and are taking extensive safety measures. Our event is wholly outdoors under a tent, come rain or shine. Should you not feel well or show symptoms of Covid-19 within the two weeks prior to our event, or have any known exposure, please stay home. A medical professional will take your temperature upon arrival. Guests with a fever will not be permitted. We encourage you to maintain a safe distance from other guests. You must wear a mask when approaching the bar and areas with food. All staff will be in masks and gloves for the entire event. Hors d’oeuvres and dessert will be individually plated, and the buffet will be served by a staff member, one table at a time. Guests will be seated at tables according to familiarity. All tables will have hand sanitizer available. Guests will be required to wear their masks on the buses back into town.
Question

Is there transportation to and from the celebration?

Answer

There will NOT be transportation TO the venue before the celebration. We suggest carpooling, or using Uber or Lyft. If you plan to drive, there is ample parking, as well as a closer handicapped lot. There will be a golf cart available for handicap assistance. You may leave your car overnight. There is no driving on the lawn at all. Please be careful and follow all signage. There WILL BE transportation FROM the venue after the celebration. Buses will take guests into downtown Richmond, where we hope to continue the celebration!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal cocktail attire. Please keep in mind that we will be outside on the grass all evening. We will have a tent with a dancefloor.

Question

What time should I arrive to the Cocktail Hour?

Answer

Anytime after 5:00 and before 6:00. We will kick off the dinner reception with introductions just after the hour.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

YES! Please let Emily know if you have a special dietary restriction so that we can best accommodate you. We will be having passed appetizers and snack stations, a buffet-style dinner, and cupcakes for dessert. We have a menu in hand, and are in close contact with our caterer and chef. Emily has Celiac's, so most of the evening's food will be gluten free.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We would like to keep this event an adults only gathering. Please leave the kids with a relative or friend, so you can dance the night away with us, worry-free!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation did not include another name or say "and guest" after your name, no, please do not bring a date. We'd like to keep our celebrations private and intimate among our favorite people. Please reach out to Emily or Shelton if you have a significant other you would like to bring that was not included.
