The actual first time we met was at a Hillel cooking class our freshman year of Tulane. We sat at the same table and were chatting. When I said I was from Florida, Aaron replied "oh my grandma lives in Florida," to which I replied "everyone's grandma lives in Florida." I thought I was too cool. About a year later, we were reintroduced through mutual friends. We realized we had a lot in common and quickly became good friends. One night, Aaron asked me to watch his guitar (aka he locked his already-locked guitar case to my bed), but it was just an excuse to talk to me. We spent the next few months texting non-stop. Feelings were revealed (over some Mardi Gras indulgences), and we went on our first date 4 days later. Aaron used 17 napkins (we counted) and we went to the Tulane baseball game (where I pretended to care about baseball). Since then, we have had 3 bunnies (RIP Mochi), lived in 3 cities, and had 8+ years of laughs, love, and friendship together.
