It all started in our junior year of high school. He had just transferred in class from some fancy all-boys school and she was sitting in class reading some webcomics. Our eyes met for a brief second but none of us knew where our first meeting would take us. The leading lady in this story is Melany, she’s a huge dork with an immense love of anime and comics. While our staring young man Emilio is in fact also a huge dork with a love of anime and video games. Who knew that two award dorks who met in high school would end up marrying each other? Our convoluted love story started with a simple crush on each other. This crush lasted over a year before their friends caught on. When Amber (the maid of honor) found out about her best friend's crush she sprung into action to be a true wingman. Simultaneously on the other side of campus, Emilio was conspiring with Jeremiah (bachelor) to come up with a plan to ask out his crush. Later on, Jeremiah and Amber casually got together to bring up a pressing matter. That is when they both found out that Emilio and Melany had crushes on each other. This was perfect! Amber's best friend never really shows interest in anyone and this is the first time in years that she can get Melany with someone that both Amber and Jeremiah saw as a perfect couple. Emilio was overthinking about how to ask Melany out but with the push of his friends, he was able to finally execute plan C asking Melany to the prom with a hand-drawn poster and a Pokemon stuffed animal. This part of the story was super embarrassing because I (Melany) was left alone at the lunch table while all my friends hung out inside where you could barely see their silhouettes through the window and my crush (Emilio) was sitting next to me. Now 6 years later Emilio and Melany are to be wed on 05/23/2025.
