Some might call it a set up, but God had it in mind from the beginning.

Emilio and Maggie met at a conference in September of 2024. Maggie said, "Good morning, Emilio." Emilio said, "Good morning." They didn't speak for the rest of the conference.

After intentional prayer, Emilio reached out to Maggie. The first conversation died as suddenly as it began and Maggie decided this cute guy from the conference was not as interested as she thought.

Communication steadily improved. After about three weeks of intentional texting, Emilio asked Maggie very respectfully if she would be open to a video chat. Maggie was very open.

At the end of a two-hour conversation on Monday, September 30th, Emilio and Maggie both thought (separately) "I like him/her."

Two days later, Emilio asked Maggie to talk again. In more polite words and with a healthy dose of encouragement, she essentially said: "Are you pursuing me or not, bro? I ain't playing."

On Oct 6 Emilio shared his intentions to pursue an intentional friendship with Maggie for the purpose of marriage. "Following Yeshua is the most important decision. Who you marry is second," he said.

Always a man of action, that same week Emilio got his Rabbi's blessing, Maggie's Father (and Rabbi!)'s blessing, and they started dating on October 10.

The amazing spiritual growth they have both seen in their lives this past year is a testimony to God's faithfulness and work in their relationship. He has always been first and He always will.

On April 20th, First Fruits, Emilio proposed to Maggie and Maggie replied, "It would be my pleasure." Everyone cried.

We are excited for all that God is going to do with us b'yachad (together) as we follow after Him and build our lives upon the Rock: Messiah Yeshua (Jesus).
