Are there any other events that I should know about besides the wedding?

Answer

YES! We are hosting a Welcome Party for ALL of our guests on Friday at 7PM as well as a Farewell Bruch for all Sunday at 11AM. See the schedule tab for more information.

Question

Since it’s a beach wedding does that mean it’s casual?

Answer

No. We’re requesting Beach Formal attire. If you’re unclear what means, you can find many good examples by doing a quick Google search. If you’re still unsure, feel free to reach out! Men’s and Women’s sandals will be provided at the reception if you’d like to get more comfortable! What is an “Unplugged Ceremony” and why are you having it?

Answer

We have chosen to have an unplugged ceremony because we want our guests to be present with us during this special time. We do not want to look at our pictures and see phones in the air or see your phone instead of your face. This is very important to us and we will have signs and reminders throughout the property to remind you. We have hired an incredible photographer who will get all the shots of the ceremony and share with everyone right after the wedding. Although our ceremony is UNPLUGGED, we are having a PLUGGED IN reception and encourage everyone to snap as many pics as possible once cocktail hour begins. We will have our wedding hashtag displayed at various places and would absolutely love to see what you capture! These are some of the best pics of the night! Are kids welcome to travel with us?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We do love your little ones, but in order to allow all guests, including parents, a weekend of relaxation and fun we have chosen for all festivities to be ADULT-ONLY. We truly hope this advanced notice means you are still able to get away and enjoy a weekend filled with adventure, love and happiness as we celebrate this wildly special time in our lives!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

WE ARE REQUESTING ALL GUESTS BE IN THE AREA NO LATER THAN 4:15PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. Should you arrive past that time, a staff member will request you stand off to the side as to not interrupt the ceremony.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, for the wedding we are requesting Beach Formal attire. All other events are less formal and Resort Casual is perfectly acceptable. Thanks!

The website will show both the Zola registry as well as the Amazon Registry.

Is the Welcome Party going to be held at the same place as the Wedding?

Answer

No. We are having the Welcome Party at Islamorada Beer Company. They have a beautiful backyard Beer Garden that we will be using privately for this event! We will have live steel drums, local beer, locally crafted Rum Punch and delicious local food! This is a casual event, so feel free to dress however you’d like! This is your vacation kick off party, so be comfortable and have come ready to have some fun!

At the Wedding, will there be a designated smoking area or can I smoke wherever I’d like?

Answer

The property is SMOKE FREE. They are extremely strict on this and the Bride and Groom strongly request that you do not smoke during the wedding. If you have to smoke, kindly exit the wedding area and head to the PARKING LOT to do so and finish before you return to the party. We were told that any and all guests caught smoking by hotel staff could be removed from the grounds.

I didn’t see a food option on my RSVP, what will you be having?

Answer

As Lauren and Emilio are not the traditional sit-down dinner type, they have decided to do multiple stations that guests can choose from through the night. For example, there will be a Taco Bar, Make-Your-Own-Pasta Station and a French Fry Bar! Surely there will be something for everyone and you can have as much or as little as you’d like!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! Any and all dietary restrictions will be given to the Chef as long as they are received no later than February 10th. Keep in mind also that Lauren is a vegetarian, so there will be vegetarian-friendly versions at each station!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, but spaces are extremely limited as the hotel will likely be at full capacity. In order to ensure you can have a good time and stay safe, we request you take a cab if you are not staying at the host resort.

Do you have any other hotel recommendations?

Answer

Absolutely! We’ve been going to the Keys for a looong time and have added our favs under the accommodation section of our website. Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Many hotels will transport within a mile or two. Ask your hotel concierge if they can help you. If you are staying at the host resort, Postcard Inn, they will take you to and from any restaurant, brewery, bar, shop or local attraction within Islamorada.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unless specifically noted on your invitation address, we will not be able to accommodate any extra guests and they will be asked to leave. If you’re unsure if you may bring someone, please ask with plenty of time, but no guarantees can be made that we will be able to accommodate your request. We appreciate your understanding. Thanks!
