It probably comes as no surprise that our story began at work. Tony was already close with Emilie’s dear friend Mari (better known to many as Ms. Samperi — and to us, our incredible officiant), so over the years our paths crossed often and our friendship quietly took root. One summer, school staff planned a get-together in Boston. One by one, everyone backed out… except Tony. What was supposed to be a casual outing turned into nearly five hours of conversation at The Reel House in East Boston — well, Emilie talking and Tony patiently (and sweetly) listening. Somewhere between the waterfront views and nonstop chatter, something shifted. Our connection became undeniable. From that night on, our friendship slowly and naturally grew into something more. We tried — more than once — to ignore what was happening, knowing we worked together. But some connections are simply too strong to resist. Eventually, we both let our walls down and chose each other. We haven’t looked back since. 🤍
