Covid Precautions

We cannot wait to celebrate with all of our guests! During this unprecedented time, your health is our top priority! We will be closely following the RIDOH guidelines for weddings. We will update this information as new guidelines emerge.
Question

Will masks be required?

Answer

During our outdoor ceremony as well as our outdoor cocktail hour, masks will not be required. Guests will be required to wear masks when entering and exiting the building, as well as when going to the restroom. We will have masks available for all guests at the ceremony. All vendors will be required to wear masks.

Question

Will hand sanitizer be available?

Answer

Absolutely! We will be providing each guest with their own, personal mini hand sanitizer!

Question

Will guests be able to practice social distancing?

Answer

Of course! Ocean Cliff is following all state guidelines.

Question

Will I be able to go to the bar to order drinks?

Answer

During our outdoor cocktail hour, walk-up bar service will be permitted. Once inside for our reception, the outdoor bar will remain open for walk-up beer and wine service. Any mixed drinks or cocktails will have to be ordered with a server and brought to the guest. We will also provide wine service at each table with dinner. Don't worry, all drinks are on us!

Question

Will there be passed hor d'oeurves?

Answer

There will be hor d'oeuvres at the cocktail hour, but not in the way that you are used to. Servers will come around and offer each guest a plate which will contain one of each available hor d'oeuvres. This is a safety precaution to avoid multiple hands touching one serving tray. There will also be individual cheese plates at each cocktail hour table for you to enjoy!

Question

Do I Need to Get Tested Before the Wedding?

Answer

The RIDOH recommends that all unvaccinated guests be tested within 48 hours of the wedding. You can be tested near your own homes or in Newport. There is a testing site in Newport (right off Thames Street) that offers a walk-through, rapid test. This testing site is located at The Brown and Howard Wharf (21 Brown and Howard Wharf, Newport, RI 02840).
