One day many years ago... Emilie and Jake who had previously met but both worked too much and lived in different cities, were at a birthday party. At this point Emilie moved back to our hometown. Jake was playing beer pong, stared into Emilie's eyes and said "What Emilie, you move home, no call, no text." He then proceeded to make his cup without breaking eye contact. Emilie was smitten from that moment forward. That was on March, 2018. On April 2, 2018 we became an official couple. During our early days, Jake told Emilie that he would never get married unless he was with someone for at least 7 years. Instead of questioning why, Emilie said "challenge accepted!" Jake finally came to his senses and proposed on November 23, 2024 (over 6 years later). Throughout the years we experienced long distance, loss of loved ones, moving a thousand miles away from our hometown, and more happiness, giggles, and fun than we could ever hope for. We are extremely excited to get married on our 9 year dating anniversary! We cannot wait to share this experience with all of you!
