There are a ton of restaurants and bars off of Calle Cinco de Mayo as well as at the Plaza de Armas. Here’s a list of some of our favorite restaurants! - El Mesón de Chucho El Roto located across from Hotel Meson de Santa Rosa and right on the Plaza de Armas. Awesome food and live music! - Terraza la Grupa: rooftop bar with good food above the Hotel Casa Aspeytia -Alquimia Cóctel Bar - Bistro Chez Julien: French bistro in the heart of Queretaro - Khios: a spin on Mediterranean food and cocktails prepared tableside (15 min uber from downtown)
For those spending more than a few days in Queretaro and are renting a car, here are a couple of our favorite day trips (45 min-1 hour drive) - San Miguel de Allende: is a beautiful and famous colonial town located about an hour drive from downtown Queretaro - Bernal: located about 40 minutes from downtown Queretaro, Bernal is a colorful town at the base of the Pena de Bernal (which you can also hike) - Tequisquapan: another picturesque town known for it's hot springs & artisinal markets
Peña de Bernal: Visit one of the world's largest monoliths, perfect for hiking and enjoying stunning views. (We recommend stopping by Pueblo Magico, Pena de Bernal after :) El Cerrito Archaeological Zone: ancient pyramids and ruins just outside of the city of Queretaro
Enjoy live dancing, music, and plenty of restaurants and shops in the city center!
