Things To Do

Here's a few places to explore and things to do while you're in South Florida for the weekend!

Mizner Park

327 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Mizner Park is an outdoor entertainment and shopping center with shops, bars, restaurants, and an art museum. Our Welcome Party on Friday night will be at American Social in Mizner Park. If you want to grab dinner ahead of time, Mizner would be a great place to do that! Try Eddie V, Kapow Noodle Bar, Max’s Grill, Yard House, Villagio, Calaveras Cantina or many others for great happy hours and dinner.

Deerfield Beach

200 Northeast 21st Avenue, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441

Deerfield beach is a great place to relax, swim, and get some sun. Try surfing our shores! The experts at Island Water Sports offer the best beach gear and clothing, but the best part is it offers FREE Saturday morning surfing lessons at 7am! You can learn how to paddle board, skim, or mimic a pro and stand up surf. Do not miss happy hour at JB’s On The Beach, with live music every afternoon and evening. Look for our friends Vanessa and Beto or Justin Enco on stage overlooking the fishing pier, beach volleyball courts, and beautiful beach. Good eats at the beach in Deerfield include JB’s, The Whale’s Rib, Ocean’s 234, and old fave Flanigan’s. Follow the link to see a live view of the beach that you'll be relaxing on soon!

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center

1801 North Ocean Boulevard, Boca Raton, FL 33432

At this 20-acre coastal preserve, you can enjoy a walk on the boardwalk, which travels 1/3 mile through the coastal forest. Ascend Jacob’s Outlook, our 40-foot-tall observations tower, to get a bird’s-eye view of Boca Raton’s barrier island. Take a stroll through the butterfly garden, where many species of wild butterflies can be seen year-round. Walk the Ashley Trail and relax in the authentic Chiki overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. A variety of native fish, sea turtles, and other marine animals reside in large outdoor marine aquariums. Florida Atlantic University has an onsite marine biology laboratory with a gallery for viewing research projects.

Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach

E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444

Along this walkable stretch, you’ll find a dense mix of restaurants, shops, galleries, and bars. Head east and the avenue leads directly to Delray Beach, making it easy to pair a meal or shopping with time by the water. Try Tin Roof for live music most nights of the week, along with karaoke, DJs, and themed events like Motown Mondays. For a more retro vibe, make your way to Good Night John Boy, a 70’s style disco with great music and a vibe that gets going early and stays open late. There is also Silverball Retro Arcade, equal parts arcade, bar, restaurant, and lively hangout, which is packed with more than 150 vintage and modern pinball and arcade games, making it easy to spend an hour—or an entire evening—chasing high scores and reliving old favorites, drink in hand.
