How to best experience Pittsburgh. Here’s a list of fun activities, locations and some of our favorite spots to eat. Whether you want to kill some time between the ceremony and reception, or making it an extended weekend- Pittsburgh has a lot to offer!

The Strip District

Our ceremony takes place right in the heart of The Strip District. This area has several blocks of locally owned businesses, restaurants, breweries and activities!

Mount Washington

Ride the incline up and down to see the most beautiful view of the city! At the top of the incline, Shiloh St. has many shops and restaurants to browse.

Cathedral of Learning

Lovingly call “Cathy” by Pitts students, this is the tallest academic building in the Western Hemisphere lives right on the University of Pittsburgh’s campus. Tours of the Nationality Rooms within the Cathedral are available and linked. Students will be gone for the Summer so campus won’t be busy!

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Admission for adults is $22. There is a lot and street parking available.

North Shore

Pittsburgh, PA 15212

The Northshore is home to Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. PNC Park and Heinz (now Acrisure) Field can be found here.

Randyland

Located in the Mexican War Streets (Northside). A vibrant, unique museum that is very photo worthy!

National Aviary

The Aviary is a non-profit bird zoo featuring over 500 birds from 150 species in large, walk-through habitats that allow for close-up, free-flight experiences with animals like penguins, flamingos, and eagles. Tickets required. Right down the street from Randyland!
