FAQs

Question

What is your mailing address?

Answer

Please send all correspondence to Emilia at: 614 Dolphin Place Corpus Christi, TX 78411 This will also be our address after the wedding.

Question

Where do I book a hotel?

Answer

We have blocked rooms at the Wyndham Garden in San Antonio for our out-of-town guests for October 25-27. To reserve a room within the block, simply call the hotel and let them know you are a guest of the Vega-Pearson Wedding, or follow the booking link listed on the Travel page of this website. Please note: if you would like to book a room for more nights than just the wedding weekend and would like to be included in the block, you must call the hotel (don’t use the booking link) to reserve the extra nights. Also note: the block is at the Wyndham GARDEN on 9th Street, not the Wyndham on East Pecan Street.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Semi-formal or cocktail attire. For gentlemen, think a suit & tie, or a sport coat or blazer with slacks. For ladies, think a cocktail dress, long dressy skirt and top, or dressy separates. In case it will affect what you decide to wear, please know that the wedding party is wearing black!

Question

Where is the ceremony taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place on the grounds of the McNay Art Museum (yes—it will be outside!) at 6 P.M., immediately before the reception.

Question

Your ceremony is outside? What is Texas weather like in October?

Answer

That’s an excellent question. We chose the end of October for our wedding because it is one of the most likely times for the weather to be nice, but Texas is certainly known for unpredictable weather. October temperatures are generally in the 70’s to low 80’s, with overnight lows in the mid 60’s. That said, we have certainly had warm Halloweens in the past! If anything, prepare for warmer weather than expected, rather than cooler. And don’t worry—we do have a rain contingency plan.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party and families will go off to take photographs, and the rest of the guests are invited to enjoy the beautiful museum courtyard and the adjacent galleries during the cocktail hour.

Question

We can actually go into the galleries at the museum?

Answer

Absolutely! The McNay will open a few galleries for our wedding guests to enjoy during the cocktail hour. Please be aware that the galleries will ONLY be open during the cocktail hour! We ask also that you be respectful of the museum’s rules prohibiting food & drink in the galleries themselves.

Question

How do I get to the McNay?

Answer

You can find the address on this website or on any mapping app on your phone. The museum itself sits on a bit of property, so it is hard to see from the road. It sits on the corner of New Braunfels Avenue & Austin Highway, and there are entrances on both roads.

Question

Where do I park? Is it free?

Answer

There are several large parking lots around the museum which will easily accommodate all of our guests. And yes, parking is free!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by mailing us your RSVP card before October 5 so that we can have accurate counts for our vendors and meet their deadlines.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to your RSVP card. If it says “of 2,” then yes; if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
