Zach and Emiley met on August 29, 2017, two days into their freshman year at the University of New England located in Biddeford, ME. Both were drawn to the second floor of their dorm building by the promise of free food from a fellow classmates birthday party. By the time both Emiley and Zach got to the second floor, all the food had been eaten - but this disappointment was soon forgotten by the meeting of each other. Now, 8 years later, Zach and Emiley have been by each others sides through many life changes. At the time of their wedding, they will have known each other for just over 9 years. Fun Fact: Zach was the first person Emiley saw while moving in to the Unversity of New England. Emiley and her dad got to the campus early and decided to get lunch at the Run of the Mill in Biddeford. While Emiley and her dad were seated at a table, Emiley spotted Zach and his family (later learned as Sandy, Jim and Geoff) walk in to the pub looking for a table. Emiley recognized Zach from Instagram and college Facebook pages but was too shy to say hello. She was also unsure if he was moving in to UNE with his twin brother (who she later learned was not his twin).
