Twelve years ago, we met when introduced by a former friend. It was in the lunchroom our freshman year of high school, and we ended up having lunch together almost every day that year. All four years, we never shared a single class, but we would continue to spend time with each other whenever we could, remaining close friends throughout high school and college. In June of 2022, we kissed for the first time. There was already so much love and trust at our foundation, we knew, whatever the outcome, we’d always be in each other's lives. We jumped-- immediately began long distance dating for 6 months, visiting each other as frequently as we could. Home was always with each other, but we made it official, moving in together soon after, creating a cozy flat for us and our cat. We were engaged in October 2024, celebrating a decade of friendship, and a lifetime as loving partners.
