It all began in the summer of 2019 at a chiropractor’s office in St. Pete. Emilee was working as the office manager and Danny had become quite the “regular.” Every morning, he’d walk in with the biggest smile and a cheerful “good morning,” while she tried her best not to notice how often he seemed to need an adjustment. Eventually, Emilee decided to add him on Instagram — and that’s when the tables turned. The next morning, Danny walked in, unusually quiet, and left without saying a word. Just as she started to wonder if she’d misread things, her phone buzzed — a message from Danny, still sitting in his car in the parking lot, asking to take her out. They went on their first date just days later (though Emilee almost bailed last minute!), and the rest is history. Despite the miles between them — with Danny returning to college in Boston shortly after — their connection never faded. From daily FaceTimes to surprise trips and a memorable Valentine’s Day visit where he officially asked her to be his girlfriend, it was clear they’d found something special. From that summer smile to forever — and now, they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of their love story surrounded by the people who mean the most.

On the anniversary of the day they first met, Danny surprised Emilee with plans for dinner at The Breakers — the very place where they’d celebrated their six-month anniversary. With a mix of urgency (and excitement she didn’t yet understand), he rushed her out the door for their “dinner reservations.” When they arrived, Danny suggested a walk by the water. As the sun began to set, Emilee noticed a heart made of candles glowing softly — she assumed it was meant for someone else. Before she could even process what was happening, Danny took her hand, led her into the center of the heart, and got down on one knee. It was the easiest “yes” of her life.
