The summer before Sophmore year at Washington State University, I was awaiting the move-in date for my new apartment when one day I got a phone call. The phone call was from a man I have never spoken to before. Unfortunately, I already knew the information he was going to tell me. My future home, the apartment for my Sophmore year, had burned down during construction. Luckily, two buildings were not damaged by the fire, one for him, and the other for me. When it was time for me to move in, he was there and ready to carry all of the heavy things into my new apartment such as throw pillows and full length mirrors. It took a while, we got brought together through mutual friends, but slowly I started to enjoy his company and we finally decided to give it a try.
At a "Surprise Birthday" for Colby, we had all of our close friends and family gathered together. Little did I know, planning this "Birthday" for Colby, I was actually putting together the party for Colby to propose. Shortly after we arrived and everyone yelled SURPRISE, Colby got down on one knee and asked the long awaited question. It was answered with one word, FINALLY!
