Continental Room in Downtown Fullerton may be a depressing, frat-filled bar now, but six years ago it was a seedy, red-tinted hidden gem frequently visited by Emilee and Watson. They met one night and did the wave on the dance floor, and a few months later, Emilee saw Watson (aka 'that guy with the hat!') walking through Continental Room. As they say, the rest is history! Friendship turned into romance and a relationship, and after many Fullerton nights and Southern California adventures, they packed their bags and their cat Smokey and moved to Chicago. The Midwest offered new and exciting opportunities. They traded California burritos for Chicago deep dish, got rid of their cars and switched to public transportation, and learned to truly appreciate summer in a way native SoCal residents rarely do - a 0° day with windchill will make a warm day so much sweeter!

On Memorial Day weekend 2019, they visited home to Orange County for the long weekend. Emilee didn't know Watson was planning on popping the question, and was only focused on seeing Star Wars land at Disneyland that day. The moment happened at Snow White's Wishing Well, and was perfect! Emilee said yes before Watson even had a chance to ask, as Emilee's parents and Watson's mom cheered.
