The Cabins at Camp Wyman are what you'd imagine at a sleepaway camp. Though, a bit nicer than the average as each cabin has indoor plumbing with flush toilets and showers. The beds are bunk beds, so keep that in mind if you opt to stay at the camp! If you aren't up to "roughing it" we recommend booking a room at one of the following hotels: -The Wildwood Hotel, 636-733-9100 -The Holiday Inn Saint Louis West at Six Flags, 636-938-6661 -Comfort Inn Near Six Flags St. Louis, 636-257-4600 If you are traveling with an RV, there are also a couple of RV parks in the area: -St. Louis West/Historic Route 66 KOA Holiday, 800-562-6249 -Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp - Resort, 636-938-5925 There are also several AirB&B type options in the area as well.
Of course not! Though we'd love for everyone to have time to enjoy everything Camp Wyman has to offer, we understand not everyone has that much time. We see this weekend as a dual family reunion as much as a wedding reception and want everyone to have fun and get to know one another! You will have the option to RSVP to different events separately to let us know what you'd like to attend.
As we continue to plan for our event in October and have been contacting local hotels regarding blocking rooms, we have become aware that the hotels are quickly becoming full due to other events that weekend. Because of this, we are not able to block rooms. However, if you contact them as an individual you may still be able to secure a room for the weekend.. We recommend the following hotels: The Wildwood Hotel, 636-733-9100 The Holiday Inn Saint Louis West at Six Flags, 636-938-6661 Comfort Inn Near Six Flags St. Louis, 636-257-4600 If you are traveling with an RV, there are also a couple of RV parks in the area: St. Louis West/Historic Route 66 KOA Holiday, 800-562-6249 Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp - Resort, 636-938-5925 Local AirB&B's are also an option if you choose to go that route! We do have some bunk houses reserved for the weekend at Camp Wyman and would love to have you stay at the camp with us. The bunk houses are just that, lots of bunks with little privacy, however, there are bathrooms with showers in each bunkhouse. All of the lodging recommended is within 10-20 minutes from Camp Wyman and would allow for easy access to the activities that we have planned. If you choose to stay at one of the recommended hotels, please contact them as soon as possible to secure a room. Your RSVP should ask if you plan to stay at the Camp and for what nights.
Please submit your RSVP by September 17th!
Not exactly. I want everyone to feel free to dress however they will feel most comfortable and confident given the weather and the possibility of being photographed! Josh and I will be dressed up a bit but this isn't a black tie affair by any means! Feel free to be a bit whimsical if that is your thing, we will be in the woods, surrounded by autumn leaves. Whatever you choose, consider the possibility of temperatures ranging from the 80s to the 50s and how you might adapt your chosen outfit. Missouri in October can be unpredictable!
Yes! We already plan to accommodate friends and family with food sensitivities and the staff at Camp Wyman were more than happy to help with that. Please note what accommodations are needed on your RSVP.
