We actually met when I got certified to be a lifeguard. He was just this tall, quirky dude with ruffled brown hair and misty green eyes. It wasn't until we worked together later that summer that we really started to hit it off. God put him in my life at the perfect moment and it's crazy to see how far we've come!

It was my birthday. I knew he was planning to propose, but I didn't know how he was going to do it. He said he'd take me out to a nice dinner and a movie. My friend Mischel came over and did my make-up before we went on our date. But, to my surprise, when Mischel and I went outside, she pulled a blindfold out of the back seat of her car. I was laughing during the whole drive, trying to guess where she was taking me. Once we got out of the car, she took me back and forth, forwards and backwards before we finally stopped. When she took the blindfold off, we were standing in the rose garden. He was standing in front of me with the goofiest grin on his face and a red rose in his hand. I started crying before he even began to speak.
