Things To Do

Philadelphia has so many exciting places to explore! Here are a few of our favourite places, from the best cheesesteaks to cultural landmarks:

Philadelphia Museum of Art

2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

The iconic steps that Rocky Balboa ran up while training actually lead to a world-class art museum! Go and see some lovely art, suits of armour, and other relics of days gone by. Don't forget to take a picture with the Rocky statue before you leave!

The Franklin Institute

222 North 20th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

A brilliant science museum perfect for children and adults alike. Fun fact: Samir and Emery nearly hosted their wedding here, and would have had the reception in the planetarium under the stars. Highlights include a giant walkthrough heart that Emery explored countless times growing up.

Barnes Foundation

2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

The extensive art collection once belonging to Dr. Albert C. Barnes. The museum is an exact replica of Dr. Barnes original personal museum.

Philadelphia's Magic Gardens

1020 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

A gorgeous mosaic garden in the hip and trendy Queen Village neighbourhood.

Eastern State Penitentiary

2027 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130

A massive prison in the middle of the city that closed down in the 70s. Famously housed Al Capone amongst other big-name criminals. It's a super fun tour and they do an insane haunted house during the month of October!

The Liberty Bell and Independence Hall

526 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Check out the famous bell and walk around the landmark made famous by Nicholas Cage in National Treasure...erm, I mean by America's founding fathers (don't bother trying to steal the Declaration of Independence, it's in Washington D.C.)

Chestnut Hill

Philadelphia, PA

If you're looking for a sweet part of town out of Center City, Chestnut Hill is a short train ride away from 30th Street Station. Full of artsy shops and lovely restaurants.

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

A world-famous indoor market where you can get any kind of food imaginable.

Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks

1237 E Passyunk Avenue + 1219 South 9th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

The two most famous cheesesteaks in Philadelphia. They are competing restaurants a mere block away from each other, try one of each and decide for yourself which is the best!

Jim's South St.

400 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

For a fantastic cheesesteak closer to Center City, located on the artsy and unique South Street in Queen Village.
