Our story begins in the most modern way possible-on Hinge. Ethan was living in Atlanta for just a few months doing training for his job, when one evening I stumbled across his profile. What started as a simple, mindless, match quickly turned into something much more meaningful. Our first date was at the Marietta Square for dinner. A date that I thought would be short and sweet turned into a night I never wanted to end. It was evident, there was something special between us, but we were unsure of where the future would take us because Ethan was inevitably moving back to Charlotte in just a few short months. It was no question for us, we would be doing long distance. Our bond, our friendship, or relationship was too special to let a couple hundred miles come in between. And so the long distance relationship began. Ethan would drive down to see me, I would fly to see him, pick up trips for work in Charlotte just to spend a day together. After 6 months of loving each other, praying together, and learning all we could about one another Ethan planned a trip for us in Wilmington where he took me to the beach at sunset and got down on one knee asking me to marry him. The easiest yes of my life was to be his wife. While our time dating was short, our love story has been anything but simple. From catching flights, driving hours on end, and FaceTime dates in different time zones- we put in the work and we made every moment count. A few months after saying yes, I moved out from my home town and into my future in Charlotte. From there we started building our lives together. We traded those road trips and airport sits for quiet nights at home together. These days we have officially been engaged longer than we dated, which is pretty fitting for us. Once we knew, we knew… No matter where life takes us, home is wherever we are together. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you, thank you for being a part of our journey!
